yeah i need to focus....that's probably why i didn't leave for cali..... not sure if you are familiar with the architecture industry at all but it sucks if you can't be creative...so, i'm leaning more towards industrial design... i have been focused for a while but had some finacial problems arise all of a sudden.... sure i probably put my life story on here but my thinking was a bit fuzzy at that time..... i have an agenda with my switch over to i.d. and with grad school.... that's why i'm asking questions on program....sure i can use a modelling program to make the picture look pretty but if i can't build it then what's the point.... i would like to have as much control of my work as i can... hence making sure 3d models can be milled effectively and not worry about the part getting tweeked in the process..... just in case you havent seen my work, i post some pics....... it shows the level of detail i expect from my work and the detailing involved.... i made the decision of educating myself further and making my goals happen..... i could easy give up and go work as a cad monkey doing window details the rest of my life but i have too much creativity to keep inside right now...so i have to make something happen...... it'll all fall in place once i get the 1's and the 0's lined up.......

happy holidays

nice work, your stuff looks good!

If you are looking to simulate cnc toolpaths, there are plenty of programs (some free) that can visually simulate a cnc milling machine toolpath. You would still need to have a program export the g-code, but after that you could run it in the simulation software and see how the toolpaths will perform.

Some good cam software can also run simulations as well.
