Default Need more help decoding pretty please

I got my vin decoded and was working on the plate in the driver door jam. It’s very difficult to read…

The numbers I got off it are: RIN E18 76C 82L

I figured out that 76C = Mahogany Cloth. with only 763 produced.

But I don’t know what the rest of it means

help me please

Oops... maybe that doesn't have everything from the trim plate.

not sure what RIN is. E18 is a date code, and 82L is Corvette Mahogany

E18 codes to January 18, 1978
76C is mahogany cloth

RIN may have been misstamped, or faded over the years, or whatever .... it should read "TRIM".
It is located on the far left of the TRIM tag.
PAINT would be on the far right

Don't know exactly what "poly" means ... no explanation given.
Only some of the 1978 paints have the poly designation, others do not

Frank's got the right idea. Here's a photo of the only 78 mahagony on mahagony I've seen. These codes are for a leather interior. Note the full word TRIM...that's where Frank is getting RIN. And probably likewise "POLY" is something else...like Chevrolet depending on placement on the tag. Get a photo and post...that's the best bet.

78 Trim Tag

Here we see C13 for November the 13th. the 762 code is for leather while 82L is paint (note the word paint to its right).
