Default 69-75 Steering Column Removal and Install

Anyone have a link or know of the correct procedure to remove and install a steering column (without damaging something) in a 69-75?
Thanks

If I were you I would do an advanced search and it will bring up a ton of info on the subject.

I would also look up the username Jim Shea and search all the posts he is involved with because he is the steering column guru. He has multiple papers that can help but im at work and dont have the links.

It shouldnt be too hard to find. If you dont get his links before I get home I will post them.

Yeah - go to the link above and look through the Jim Shea articles.
Most important is the installation.
You need to make sure the coupler is properly centered and aligned
before you tighten down the bolts holding the column in place.
The procedure is in one of his papers.
Jim will likely see this post and point you to the relevent info.

well i think it depends if you have tilt/tel or standard...

http://jimshea.corvettefaq.com/wp-co...&R1-05JA06.doc
click that if you have a standard.. (not tilt/tel) and goto pg 3
