If the smoked glass ones are used, there could be alot of scratches or cracks on them. You should check very carefully. Where are you located??? I have a set of 75 tops that are in ok shape. They are white and would need to be painted. They are in the garage, I will check them out as it's been a long time since I looked at them.
Fiberglass Ttops are a dime a dozen.
You won't see them much on Ebay, as they never sell for much.
Post a WTB add in the C3parts forum, and you have some replies.
If all you need is the fiberglass shell, I think $50 will do it.
I got a new ($1000.00) set of glass tops from ecklers for xmas. They are for 78-81, I have a 77. They have a different rear pin type attach point than or cars, we have a triangle bolt type rear attach point. I had to removed the chrome plate, over sized the hole in the body and change the back up plate and chrome plate to a 78-81. The new plates are like $20.00 each, E-mail Ecklers and I'm sure they will sell you what you need to convert to this. Remember you will be changing this for ever so if your into being factory correct this would not be a good idea.
I wish I could remember the name of that place..... they do a lot of restoration and always have a few C3s there. You cannot miss it, it's about 1/2 mile before Hwy 50 dead ends at Hwy 1
