Default OK, How about a poll?

I've recently been nagged by the feeling I've gone 'too far' with my vette. While the thing is killer fast and draws a ton of attention everywhere I go, I'm seriously thinking about selling my motor, top to bottom, and going with something to fit UNDER the hood...BB of course!
What do you guys think? Should I throw away all of that motor and drop a 'crate BB in it? It wouldn't have the same attention grabbing effect that that hugh 6-71 does, but the car is so wild anyway, wouldn't it work with the motor under the hood as well? Give me your imput. Pro and Con. I'm truely interested in what this group has to say towards this decision I'm trying to make. Thanks, Glenn

Without a doubt, your car is awesome in every way with or without the blower motor. I get the impression that you like driving it vs. just showing it so I would opt for the reliability of a big inch engine with fuel injection.

leave it as it is, there's no reason why a blower motor shouldn't be reliable.

I like the 'Vette either way, but having the blower in the field of vision can sometimes get old. Try no blower for a while.....

With everything you have done to the rest of the car, tucking a motor under the hood would make the rest of the changes look odd. The car is awsome as it is, besides these no such thing as to big when it comes to a motor.

I if didn't know your car was a Vette, I'd be hard pressed to figure that out. The only item left that resembles a Vette is the windshield, and I don't know if you chopped that or not.

It looks like a George Barris creation. If you like all the attention it attracts keep the blower. It's gotta take some ***** to drive that monster.

EXACTLY!

You don’t really have a car there anyways, you have a motor with an accessory. I wouldn’t change a thing and if you wanted something more tame go find a regular vette so you can have a choice in your weekend warrior.

Man I love your motor and accessory!

I would say keep it the way it is. Your car is so outrageously awesome that I feel it simply wouldn't look right with something similarly ridiculous under/sticking out of the hood. Get rid of the blower if you reaally want to, but then at least get a high-rise intake with a scoop on it that's still exposed, if not as high as the blower.

Glenn, keep your wild one and look for something else for a reliable driver vette.

I think the look and sound add to the beautiful glass work you've done.

If you were able to drive it before without the cooling issues, maybe you should consider going backwards and back to what you had. Some of us like to always tinker and improve our rides, but maybe we take it too far sometimes for street driving and have to step back alittle. I'll let you know when I get to that point

My thoughts are this. (and this is just me). I'm either a "leave the car stock as possible"............or "if your gonna mod, go all the way". IMHO what I see in that pic is outstanding. If you just put a BB under the hood (the words UNDER being key here)........ it just takes away from the total look you have now.

I'd say that it could end up looking CanAm which is cool, I guess a little PhotoShop of what the frontend would look like and I'd change my mind.

Either way............. what an outstanding car you have !!!!!!!

Seems to me it basically comes down to one fundamental question:

Are you happy with the car as it is, or would it bring you more enjoyment if you made the change you're considering?

Answer this, and you'll know what to do (or not do).

Be well,

SJW

If money is not an issue (which it looks like it is not) than keep and start a new BB project

I think it would look really sleek w/out the blower.
