the covers from Mid America look like theres a little taller then the ones from corvette central

Corvette Central and Mid America will most likely source the covers from the same manufacturer......I'm sure the Corvette Central photo looks skinny because of the angle of the photo.....at any rate the pic of the Mid America covers look just like mine.....they only cover about 3/4 of the pipe.....

btw i have a 78,iv seen 78s with those covers, but i have no idea what pipes i need, because they say its 68-74. for corvette centrol

I don't see why the factory reproduction pipes wouldn't fit, unless it has something to do with the shape/length of the '78 exhaust manifolds...in saying that, the '78 manifolds shouldn't be any different than a '69 and an exhaust shop could modify the pipes anyway....if you have headers you'll have to modify the factory style pipes....

...also look for the key shaped slot on your frame to support the back of the pipe....the slots should be there, I've seen them on a '79....if not they can be cut.....
