Default Supporting automatic transmission after pulling the engine...

I'm going to be pulling the SB out today, but want to push the car a bit out of the garage. I'll put something under the transmission to support it, but wanted to know how i can keep it supported when I push the car back into the garage. Any suggestions?

Thanks

I used two ratchet tie-downs and hooked them into two of the holes on the bellhousing and hooked the other end on the top of the firewall.
It worked fine and did no damage.

If the torque converter hangs on the seal for very long it will deform it.
I just put a new seal in the trans before I reinstalled the engine.
I used a slide hammer to pull the old one out and then used the old seal to drive the new one in.

Ahh, excellent. I'll be popping the transmission out for a manual swap sometime, but didn't want to end up breaking who knows what else in the meantime.

Thanks!
