Default Outran a Honda 600RR.......

I outran a CBR600RR at the track yesterday.

It is an old runway and there were no races yesterday.
The guy challenged me, so we drove to the track to have some fun.

In 1st he was ahead of me as I had to baby the C3 off the line to get traction. In 2nd I pulled right up beside him. In 3rd I pulled ahead off him and in fourth I left him in the dust.....never used 5th or 6th as I hit 120MPH in 4th.

I did it twice in a row and freaked him (and his buddies) right out.
He weighs 110lbs and told me that he is not used to losing to anything.

Not much to riding a bike straight, just keep it from lifting and you're golden. I had a CBR600. Damn fast, but if you look at Summerfun's stats, you can see how he won:

540 BB, Dart Pro 1, Solid Roller, Race Demon 975, Victor Jr Scorpion, Dart Big M block, Hooker BB headers and Side Pipes, Richmond 6-speed, Full Suspension upgrade kit front and rear, 17" wheels and tires, chromalusion paint...color aquapupeline, Hydroboost brake conversion, 4 wheel ss brakes and slotted rotors,Steeroids R&P kit,
Now Vortech centrifugal supercharger 2006 add on

Sounds like fun was had by all.

He was pretty skinny, but he rode that thing pretty hard.
......and he had a lot of buddies following him around hanging off of his tongue, which had me believe that he is a good rider.

They were all amazed that I beat him......so was I!

He told me that he redlined that bike in every gear and couldn't believe how I just left him when I hit fourth.

"Je... that's a fast car", he said.

What's your 1/4 mile time? I doubt you'll be able to take on the new Kawasaki ZX-14. An average joe schmoe took one to the track and did 9's in the 1/4. Crazy fast!

Cool, hope we can beat a 250 when we are done with our car. I like the work you've done to your car, looks killer.

Add a turbo to that and you're up to 500WHP, talk about a ride!

My car doesn't have enough traction to launch hard.
I have not posted a quarter mile time with this setup as of yet.

On streets I'd be happy to run elevens, I guess.
The engine should be capable of high 8's or low 9's in a drag car.

I had to feather into the gas into each gear as I know that she'll break loose if I get onto it to hard.

I had to re-read this before I realized that your C3 was modded somewhat...the "never used 5th or 6th" made me realize that you'd probably gotten some mods in there...

That's a big congrats there. 600RRs are pretty decent bikes, and if there's a 110 lb guy on it, he stands a pretty good chance of taking a car.

And, good job taking it to a track.

A 600RR runs will run in the 10's with a skilled 150 lb rider. You must have some pretty heavy mods to take one riden right. A stock Viper or C6 Z06 will not take a current 600RR.

He told me afterwards that he had taken a Viper at the track several times.

Like I said, he was pretty amazed that I came from behind in first (as I can't launch too hard) and just left him behind once I hit fourth and got on the gas hard as she doug in.

It was a fun day.....for me anyhow

I have seen stock Vipers at the track in the 13's, not very fast at all. You should be able to blow bigger bikes than that off the road too.

Ya me to considering a village idiot can go 11.50s on a 600RR. A real rider will go 10.80s.

You must how a hell of a motor in that car, whatever it is.

What are the details on the car/motor? My busa when it was bone stock ran 10.0s@140 and would beat Supras with 600rwhp on the street from a 60mph roll.

Good job man! Bikers are used to toasting just about every car they run across.

Some of the posts in this thread go to support my thread that got deleted. A C3 can be made to skin a Viper. The average Viper is fast, but not that fast in my opinion. Can't wait to get a video of it to show the non beleivers.

I beat a crotch rocket with my bone stock 81 I had. Idiot kept pulling up on the side of me and doing wheelies and wanting to race. you can only ignore it for so long. so at the next light he was on the side of me reving it up so I just nailed it when the light turned green. when he tried to shift to 2nd gear it made this god awful noise, I think he blew his trans. oh well don't mess with the corvettes. it was pretty funny
