Does anyone have pics driver & passenger side ignition shield brackets for a 1970, I think mine is a late model since it has shields only near firewall. Muffler shop bent original brackets did not install correctly.
Can anyone post photos of their ignition shield brackets for outer shields. I am going to purchase new brackets, need to see how each bracket mounts to manifold bolts on driver & passenger side of car.
If you go to CorvetteCentral website and search for the shields, they have some drawings that show how they are set up. Other vendors might have some also...

Thanks. Already looked at drawings, not specific enough. There are three types of brackets; right twist, left twist & straight. Need to know where each type of bracket goes on each side and which manifold bolt it is placed on.
No background so I'm guessing it's SBC. I can send a photo of a '71 from underneath tonight after work if that'd help.
You say you have the dist. cover but missing the side verticals?
Hi Carl,
I do have dist. cover & side verticals. The shields I am referring to are the outer shields that cover up the spark plugs and the brackets use the manifold bolts. I have two outer shields back toward firewall. If your car has these outer shields in place, removing shields and taking photo of brackets on both sides will really help and be appreciated. Thanks.
