Let us remember why the 4th of July is such an important day and celebrate it as such. We have Memorial Day for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice and Veterans day for those who served in the military. This day in 1776 we declared our independence from England. Needless to say, it took a big set of ***** to do it. The United States is a world power not becuase we won a war or two, because we believe in indepenence and fairness.
Happy Birthday USA!!!

The founding fathers who signed that document went all in when they signed it. By signing it was a death warrant for treason from the King of England which included their families. Their courage and conviction was one of the greatest endeavors this country has ever seen. Maybe this is the reason American history isn't taught very well in schools today. If you don't know the history of America how can you learn from the mistakes of the past and what sacrifices were made to have the country that we enjoy today? I hope everyone will remember the true meaning of today. Even for a moment and pass this knowledge to the younger generations who seem to know very little about American history, houstonvett
