For you inventive guys that can weld, take a look at this. It might give someone some ideas. Doesn't have to be this high. Just another idea on ramp construction. Optional wheels to move around.
Does that have some type of rocker mechanism. It looks like once you drive past a certain point it will "teeter" on the edge and then fall down when the weight transfers to the front. The poles then will secure the trailing edge so that it will not shift backwards when it is in the air.
I read that you drive the car up on the incline and it doesn't teeter or level itself. You have to use a floor jack to raise the back end and then lock in the back posts. It really looks like a great invention. Wonder how much it would cost to build one?
Not bad, as long as you don't mind crawling the length of your car to get in and out. Wonder if there is enough room in the crawl space to manuver and turn around.
I'll save my energy for an actual lift or a setup like Norval has so I can stand.

i see no advantage to that setup.....if you want get a long frame jack and large jack stands....sitting underneath a car is less appealing to me then lying on my back
I see a lot of setups similar to this at most of the car dealers around here. Some have ramps and some teeter. Most of them park cars on them so they stand out. I have seen everything from Vettes, Mustangs, to 4X4 trucks parked on them.
