Windshield replacement chaos....

About ten days ago I called Safelite Autoglass and they told me that they would replace my windshield at my house/in my garage. They also said it's fine if I take the windshield out myself so I can repair the frame as needed. At the time I talked to that person at their 1-800 number they also offered to come out and remove it but I'd have to pay extra for the additional trip....
No big deal I thought so I removed the windshield and started repairing the frame.
Today I called them again to make an appointment for next weekend to install the new windshield.... guess what....
I was told that on such difficult installations and on high end vehicles like a Corvette they require the customer to come to their shop so they can install it professionally
I guess I have to find another shop that is capable of installing this windshield ... I'm not going to drive across town without a windshield
Any recommendations ?? Anybody had any good experience with a glass shop here in the Orlando area ??
I have learned that whoever I talk to on the phone to ask for thier name. It always seems as if there will be a different opinion based on who you are talking with.
kdf
shop that warned me that they would need the vette IN the shop to install.
I wrote them off, then thought ... These guys have done old cars before.
This is good. I called back later and spoke to the guy that ran the shop.
I convinced him that I had fully restored the frame and all I needed
was an experienced installer to put the glass in correctly.
He ended up sending his most experienced guy who did a fantastic job.
Pick up the phone book and talk to some shops.

I think when the other shop told me that "such difficult installation on high end vehicles like a Corvette require the customer to come to the shop so we can install it professionally" they meant
"Sir, we don't have a clue and we need that vehicle in our shop so you don't see how bad we screw up"
