Default Why I need more than one set of wrenches

So I want to check and tighten a nut. I dig out my trusty rusty 9/16 wrench. I am holding it in my right hand. I open my hood, realize I need a shoplight to see, but shop light is in the dining room (different story, ceiling damage, leaky 2nd floor shower) so I walk into my driveway, chat for a moment with my neighbor, go up and get the shop light, come back to the garage...... and the wrench is no longer in my right hand. check my pockets, search the garage, retrace my footsteps, look all over for 20 minutes, still can't find the mellonfarmer! So I dig out a different 9/16 wrench and tighten the sucker. Sometimes I amaze myself.

It was in my tool bag. I have no idea how it got back in there.... or why I would put it back in there when I was going to use it.

Last year I had a new set of keys made for one of our cars. I remember putting them down saying "Now this is a place that I'll remember where I put them." Those keys were lost for 3 months.

I found them on the garage floor between a couple paint cans.

Oh yeah........

You're walking somewhere in the house or at work and you completely go blank as to where you are going or what you are going there for.

Or you need to go to the hardware store to buy something that you know you have three of but you can't find any of them, so help you.......

I call 'em brain farts.........

My mother did that the other day...

"Doug, where's my glasses? I can't find them!"

"Ma, they're on top of your head."

My favorite is standing in a room of the house and wondering how I got there and what the hell I came here for in the first place. Oh well back to the den and then it hits me...I was getting a (fill in blank) Yes a senior moment for sure.

Forgive me, I'm kinda slow but WTF is a "vacuuming pen"? That sounds more like something you'd hear about in C5.

The reason that I have a couple of sets is that my tools seem to just "walk" off all by themselves! Just ask my son who doesn't know how my screwdriver ended up in his desk drawer
