Default Pace Car owners-- help

I am a proud new owner of a 78 pace car. It seems to be all original and has 39,000 miles. There are only two items that do not seem to be original, but I am not sure. One, my visors are black. I know that visors seem to be replace quite often on these cars. I would think that these should be silver to match the interior- but maybe they are orinally black on pace cars. who knows??
Second, Im not sure what theyre called, the little plastic "hinge" cover thingies on the sides of the seats are not silver in color. They are a light gray or off white--definitely not the color of all the other plastic and leather. Just wondering if these should be painted.

thanks guys for your help

Rob

Visors should be silver. But there ARE several gray interior parts. Door arm rests, sealtbelt covers, seat hinge covers, parking brake cover, seat adjuster *****, storage area straps, and the rubber heel pad in the carpet.

well, good to know. The arm rests and hinge covers looked different to me and was a little concerned.
However, my visors are black. Is it possible to paint/dye these to silver?. I would think going dark to light would not work very well. Maybe I should just fork out the dough and buy silver ones.
I tugged pretty hard on the visors-- do they just slide off of the rods??
I feel like if I pull any harder , I might break something.

Just pull.......Or spray some PB blaster in there. Of course be careful and not destroy anything else. I would pull the side pillar trim on the Passenger side and make sure they didn't shove the visor mirror harness down it. Just in case it original came with one.

you can paint them, I redid my armrests and a dashpad cap that was all black.
I got my paint from Mid-America
#'s
primer = 106902
colorcoat silver = 771001
clear = 106136
You can get some idea from my picture how it came out. If those aren't the right numbers I'll look closer on the cans because there are other numbers on them.

If the paint doesn't work out for you, check the Ecklers web site or catalog for replacements in the silver color. When I get a chance tmrw, I'll check also. Good Luck on your purchase of a 78 pace car.
