Default Wheels & Tires

I know this question has been asked many times, but I am trying to see what size tire I can mount on a 15x8 rim, front and rear, for a 73 vette. Also please show pictures of your tires and rims.
THANKS !!

physically you 'can mount 195/50 R15 Pep Boys Futuras in the front and BF Goodrich 31 x 10.50 All Terrain KO in the rears, but most guys run a 245/60 R15 T/A's all around.

I'm running 245/70/15's front and 25/70/15's rear.
Hope it helps.

Here is an old picture of my 73 with 255/60 15s on all 4 corners.

This is with 255/60 15s on the front and 275/60 15s on the rear.

This is today.

Did you have to have offset trailing arms for this or did you cut off the parking brake tab and mount on the other side?

Pic..look left <-----

You may or may not have trouble with 255x60s hitting the fender or frame on a 73? They hit the frame on my 69. Personally I really like the 235x60s front & 255x60s rear. My car also for what ever reason drives 10 times better with 235s on the front. I think the square profile of the 255 BFGs made it want to follow road irregularities!

This is today.
I liked it better with the 15s and not so low. I like even spacing on wheel wells...I don't get the lowriders where the tire disappears into the fender.

Not your car, you don't have to get it.

We're all entitled to our opinions. I definately like the look better from this angle - it looks like it's a touch higher than the other pic.
