coming to america....

Does anyone have some sound advice? I want to do some cruising..not the corny route 66..disneyland and whatever. No pre-planned tours or anything. I've been looking at car rentals and it seems they only have econoboxes and *** crap..what gives? I don't want to come to america and save money on gas when it's (relativly) cheap
So no chevrolet lanos or a soccer mom van. Anyone got some advice on who has the best prices and car selection. Also, what are some cool places to visit? Looks like there's a lot happening around kissimmee FL .. and I could look up my buddy alexarz
and check out those Ti rotors and experience that 200MPH smokey run.

Any big car events late August /early Sept???

1) Grand Canyon
2) Monument Valley
3) Sedona
4) Arches National Park
5) Zion National Park
Fly to Vegas, get a car and drive around the big hole.... if you haven't seen it yet
If you're visiting Florida you got to stop in Orlando
You can always come here and visit with your old fuel tank!
and...
maybe experience a hurricane or three....
and...
cajun wimmin....good food....
wont cost you a dime...you could stay here as long as you want.

What is it your interested in? Sightseeing, tourist parks, girls, ????A rental Vette may be hard to find but Hertz should have a Rustang vert no problem.

They are seasonal though....
But if you arent allergic to seafood or shellfish; they wash down good with kold brews.....

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I want to see some landmarks but don't want to drive from landmark to landmark and national park to national park. Would be nice to squeeze in a neat car show. A rustang rental would be nice.
Of course the NCM 12th Anniversary is the first weekend in Sept, you might be able to tour the plant, I'll be there Friday the 1st through Sunday the 3rd. NCM is pretty neat the first couple of times you visit.
If you've never been to a big-league ball game - baseball or football, try to take one in at one of our larger cities; great experience. Football should be in pre-season and baseball will be winding down.
Other spots we've enjoyed are NYC - walk the streets of Lower Manhattan and tour the Statue of Liberty, Washington DC is cool - museum and monument overload but well worth the time.

East coast of Florida. Start at Jacksonville and drive all the way to Miami. St. Augustine, Datona Beach, Palm Beach, Boca Raton, and finish up on South Beach.
Boston up to Maine. Another great drive and great seafood.
Las Vegas, enough said there. Side trips to Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam.
San Antonio and Austin, TX. Great Mexican food, music, and floating the river.
Anywhere up and down the pacific coast highway, but food is hit and miss.
These are my favorite, but everyone has different taste.
Kissimmee is not all that, but lots of great car shows. It's just a small cowtown surrounded by rundown Disney hotels. No offense to anyone that calls it home, just my persective of it.

You could come help me put that aluminum rear in, but you'd probably make me do it right and spoil all the fun.
The ALMS Grand Prix of Mosport would be really interesting for you. My club is having a couple of track days at Mosport soon after on the 5th and 6th if you're interested in driving on a race track. You could join in with us and bang doors with me. I promise not to wreck you.

Tickets are a bit hard to find this year, though.Chicago is always a great time. Way too much to do and see to list.
Memphis is great.
New Orleans is great, and from what I hear the tourist areas are back to normal (or at least close).
NYC, Boston and D.C. are indescribable.

the Arch & Bud Weiser at St. Louis. Then Moon Light BBQ at Owensboro, Ky and then the Makers Mark Distillery at Loreto, Ky.

Alamo rental cars have unlimited miles and weekly rates. I have put 5000 miles on one in a week before. St. Louis to seattle and back!
About 150 dollars.

Greatest show on earth. August 25th-27th Carlisle, Pennsylvania
