Default New AC Installation

I started the AC installation form Vintage Air this week in my 1969 non AC coupe and I'm making progress on the install but I have question for those that done the conversion to AC. Other than the old vacume lines going to the heater box there is also one going to the rear vents. Does anyone know waht this is for and what do I do with now that the vacume controlls are gone with the old heater control? The new one is all electronic.

The line going to the rear was part of the Astro Ventilation package. The rear vent was normally open, but closed when recirculation of inside air is wanted. When the rear vent is open, air flows through the front vents, through the cabin, and finally out through the rear.

I guess with A/C, you would want to close it for "Max A/C" or something similar. Maybe you could rig it to work electronically...

Default Vintage Air

BFowlkes, question for you. I looked on the Vintage Air website and did not see a AC unit designed for a 69. Is this something new that they have not added to their website yet?

Thanks

Yes, I guess it is new but so far the install has gone really well. The instruction and fit have been very good.
