Quality and functionality is paramount. Will use in Corvette restoration business. Does anyone have any recommendations and/or things that I should be looking for?

Some things to think about:
1. Get a large cabinet. Mine is 4 feet by 2 feet w/ side and front openings and I'm glad I didn't go any smaller.
2. They use a lot of air. Get a large compressor. I went with an 80 gallon 2 stage that is 18 scfm at 100 psi and 16 scfm at 175 psi. It will run my blaster continuously.
3. Think about a small dedicated room for it within your main shop. It's a little messy for inside a shop you try to keep clean or for a garage with cars parked inside. Even with a well sealed cabinet, they seem to let dust fly in the air.
4. Noise. The compressor will run a lot. Think about putting it elsewhere like a separate shed and run the line back to your shop. The dust collector is also noisy and will be running the entire time your blasting. Another reason for a dedicated room. Ear plugs are not a bad idea.
5. Design your air piping so moisture isn't a problem. Use copper or steel pipe and use a recommended design for sloping and draining. Never, ever consider PVC for compressed air. Since it is business and you will be subject to MSHA inspection, check with them for codes. Not sure if they allow copper but PVC is out.

Buy the biggest and best you can afford. Look for welded seams, heavy gauge steel, foot pedal, dust collector, etc. etc. Expect to pay between $1,500 - $3,500 . That does not include the compressor, your gonna need a big one 7hp. or twin 7hp Unless you have 3 phase power supply, then a 10 -15 hp no problem always check the cfm requirments. Dont do what I did , I bought a $500 one what a piece of junk. I had to spend more to make It ok. Put in temperd glass, good gun and hoses and new lighting Not to mention I had to take it apart and caulk all the seams so It did not leak every where. I still am not happy but at least it works. (Dont Cheap out) By the way some times I see good deals on used ones ,check craigs list.org
