Default '78 is about 80% done

I have gotten all the trim back on, and the interior installed, All I have left to do is; replace the windshield, replace the oyster steering wheel for one that is black, replace the seat covers & foam, and die or replace the oyster seat belts.
It has been a hard road to travel, but well worth the journey. here is what I started with in January '05.

Here is where I am today.

I put 70 miles on it today to get the cobwebs out. So far it seems to be getting good milage, and is running like a raped ape.
This is my next project.

It is a TPI set up in a 87 camaro. I know it will bring it's challenges to install it into the Vette, but after what I have done so far, I think I can do it. The camaro was free!!!!, and I was able to get it to run for a couple of minutes this afternoon on the varnish that was in the fuel tank (it sat since 1999). It has some potential.
I look foward to all the advice I will get from the forum members on the TPI conversion. Thanks for all the help!!!

Great work Dr. Jay, nice rersults! The Camaro drivetrain conversion is going to be quite a challenge from what I hear, both mechanically and financially, but hey, you got the best parts for free! I know that there are some forum members who have made the conversion that can help point the way for you.

I only plan on swaping the TPI into the Vette. The rest of the origional drive train will remain. (the engine was rebuilt only 2000 miles before it was wrecked. I plan on parting out the Camaro to pay for the conversion . It should work out well. I have saved all the conversion reference that all the forum members have posted, so it should be a big help.
