Default Horns

1976 Vette.

I have one horn that does not work. It is the lower horn of the two.
It is pretty rusty and the only markings I can see are Delco USA and the letter C. Could this be the note it plays? When I look up replacement horns, they show high note or low note.

Which horn do I need?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

try giving the horn a solid whack with a rubber hammer. sometimes thats all the convincing they need. not sure if it's the low or high note that you're dealing with.

i believe the bottom is the low note.
mine was also not working and i found
that it had a split in it as if it got water
in it then froze up being very close to
the road it is plausible.

in any case i replaced both of mine with
a set of Fiamm El Grande's mounted in the
stock locations and using the existing wiring.
easy enough to do and a lot louder than the
stock horns.

Correct. "C" is the note. Don't know if that's the high or the low for your car, but if you order a C replacement for your year, you ought to be okay.
