Default Import "cool car wanabees" suck

I was going out for a nice drive just before sunset and as I was getting to the tollway, and some *** in a import started to float around in the lane next to me, then I slowly passed him (this is a main street, just cruising at 35-40) Then this Douche proceeded to rev up his crapper and try to seduce me to race by driving up to my car and veering just a foot away from my car. You should be proud of me, I just keep going the same speed and did not run him into the ground, I just casually gave him the firm bird and kept my cool. Some of these kids just have no respect...and no cool.

But soon after I got on the tollway I meet up with a nice Viper and a BMW and we proceeded to "safely mind you, no traffic" ramp up to 110 for a short 30 sec chase, after the BMW guy gave the "hey that was fun", brake light tap, and a thumbs up from the Viper guy. as we finished. Sure is alot more enjoyable when you play with other cool cars that have a driver that has grown up a bit more..

I think Jake1 meant Ricers instead of just all imports.

I don't mind imports, actually I like Audi and a slew of other models from other companies...I don't like Ricers. I want to steal their fart cans and beat them senseless with it.

Would you consider the vettes made in canada imports? or is it where the companies headquarters is located or where ownership lies? Then again, I guess every car would be an import since all the damn parts are made in china!!!

I kinda have to agree that there are the "ricers" out there that just don't have any respect for nice cars.

I'm sorry, but unless you've got a fully built 4 cyl engine going against a stock V8, you're most likely not going to take them in a straight line drag. There ARE Japanese cars out there that can (and will) take a Vette...The few that are out there, though, are more suited to the track than anything else.

For example: Toyota Supras have got some SWEET horsepower, and with the right mods, can push 1000 hp...But the longevity of that engine is pretty much only going to last a few runs, and the engine is in no way made for street driving. Engines like that are dyno queens.

However, I will also agree that street racing IS street racing, and if the cops catch you whether you're driving a late model Mustang/Vette/Camaro/American sports car or you're driving some little import tuner, they're still going to ticket or impound your car for it.

The BMW was after the Ricer, And I wasn't "racing" the Viper we were just speeding, And yes, that was a "Ricer" (over Import) that (in a dick move) drive his POS $3000.00 car dangerously close a fiberglass hard to replace Corvette. Don't get me wrong some of those cars can be done tastefully, to look good and fast, but more and more of the drivers in these cars pull stupid sh#t like this that builds a very true stereotype.

Just young and stupid, bottom line.....

so since im young and bought a vette and into restroing it, and american cars does that make me young and smart...

I hate tuners deff. the ones who put a intake and big exaust on it, and think they have the coolest, fastest car on the road. I guess they didnt get the newsletter but driving slow is cooler then driving fast.

If you drive fast and like a idiot, ppl think your a dick, if you cruise slow, so EVERYBODY sees you... You just look like the coolest guy.(deff in a c3 corvette)

Theres no reason to speed, Slow cruising in a amercian classic is coolerthen driving like a dick in a 500$ pos ricer....

And P.S. yes I know that speeding is bad... and the cops are around every corner and they will "get you" but I'm sorry I bought this car to enjoy and yes, drive over the speed limit once and a while,"under ideal conditions" when they present themselves. If I wanted to just drive I would have bought minivan.

And yes... no not all young people are stupid,... but when you get older you realize some of the stupid stuff you did in your youth not thinking, and how you don't know everything. Henz' all young people are stupid..........................just kidding

Idiots drive all types, models and makes. Even C3 Corvettes.

It's the owners, not the cars.

Only the hand-built '53s. All line production was done in St. Louis until the plant moved to Bowling Green.

I've got to jump in on this one. While I don't condon reckless driving, you betcha that I've taken my ride out a few times and really hammered it. The way I see it, I'm 52 and able to make up my own mind. To each their own...

You are wise beyond your years Frosty keep it that way! I too love to crusie in my C3 - we have to remember - they ruled the streets in their days but compared to today's tech packed into little four-bangers we don't stand a chance. Agree with you - no sense showing your azz off - just cruise and be cool. Ask the ricer to show back up in 20+ years and see how cool his car is then

And another thing, if I'd had my Z when I was 18 (or even 25 for that matter) I'd most likely not be sitting here typing this.
