I looked thru the post first but I didn't see a clear answer for this.
Will a Weld draglite 15X8 with 4.5 backspacing and a 275/60 fit on the back of a 75 thru 79? Or what is it going to hit.
Thank you
I was kind of thinking 4 was about it.
I have a brand new set of 2 15X8s and 15X6s Draglites and was going to buy a vette just to put them on(you know how car guys are about stuff laying around)! A 79 I owned at one time had 15X8 rallies and 255/60s and was real tight
I might just have to but a 2nd gen Camaro then to put the wheels on instead.
I don't think that the Weld Draglites will clear the calipers without spacers. You'll probably need a 1/2 inch spacer which brings the wheels out to 4 inches backspacing. The only thing that needs to be done to fit 275's with 4 inch backspacing is to relocate the parking brake bracket to the top of the trailing arm..
I got some other stuff to sell before Im buying anything,so I'll just wait until then and start looking.
I have corvettes running thru my veins right now!!!
If I used spacers would I have to get longer wheel studs or will the 1.5" lugs be OK.Just a street car build up.
