I have had one for 5 years and have had no problems
If you take your time and install it right the first time
you will be fine. I locked it all down and then from the inside
I ajusted and glued the weather strip against the windows.
I have know water leaks or wind blowing through
I have one, but rarely use it. It is in its box now. Only had an issue with the seal at the front corner on the drivers side. I prefer the regular tops or the vinyl type tops.

i love mine. had mine for 14-15yrs, no probs, they fit great. they do leak in the rain just like my stockers did but i try to avoid the rain. they give u 3-4" extra headroom which i needed. DO not get the 2pc top, they suck. u either love em or hate em it seems
We bought one. I studied it for a long time before installation. I feared stripping out the screws, hasn't happened though. My wife loves it. I think it looks good from the outside. We went ahead and bought standard t-tops. The astro top is in the attic, maybe it will be used some day. It's a love/ate I guess.
Thanks for the replys. It sounds like there is some drilling, and added weatherstripping involved in the process. I may just stick with the stock tops for now.

The threads won't strip out, only
if you tighten them to much, just like
anyother thread, I used a few nice ss flat and lock
washers so they wouldn't come loose.
Also I used the weather strip they sent I just
repositioned it.
I want a set for my vette too, Mines a DD, and im on a budgest so astro tops seemed the cheapest glass tops avalible. Now it seems alot of people hate it, What would i have to do to make it Not leak, and be sealed perfect, and work like the origs.

I tried the one piece Astro Top and didn't like it. I think you're making a wise choice.
