Looking for Service Manual Recommendations
I am looking to purchase a service manual for my newly acquired '72. I had purchased a GM Dealer service manual that was specific for my '89 coupe.
What do you guys recommend. So far, I have found a CD version that is avialable and have visited the Helm web site. The Helm manual is for a number of carlines all available in '72.
Any suggestions from past experience would be greatly appreciated.

Get on eBay and search for 1972 chev* manual*. Can't beat the GM service manuals.

Get on eBay and search for 1972 chev* manual*. Can't beat the GM service manuals.
I got one for my 73 on ebay for $15. It's great to have on the work bench when needed.

So if you cannot locate a reasonable priced one from ebay, go to:

2) choose vehicle brand,

Just depends on whether you want a brand new reprint or an older used on.I picked up one on ebay for my wife's 81 for ~ $25 plus shipping... Wished I had paid another $20 and got the new one. Depends on budget I guess?

I've paid no more than $15 for any of my original, used service manuals and they've all been in great shape. I don't see any real reason to pay $40-$70 for a reprint book unless I need it right now and can't find one elsewhere.
