My 76 has an interior code of, I think 37L.
I believe that is buckskin, but the dash pad, carpet, and steering wheel are all of a darker brown.
I've seen some examples of buckskin interiors where the dash pad, carpet and steering wheel are all buckskin.
My question is when ordering interior trim pieces do I need to specify buckskin for the iterior panels but for the carpet, and dash pad dark brown?
Thanks in advance.
My car was just like yours...unmatching colors inside and dk. brown outside. Well, it still has dark brown exterior but I've done lotsa work inside. I used standard buckskin for color choice.
I recovered the dash pad that was dark brown, with a buckskin covering. My steering wheel is still dark brown but I've done the rest. Seats were redone with BMW Champagne Leather by a local shop and the interior components ordered from Corvette Central.

My 76 also has the Dark brown dash and dark steering wheel with all other interior parts bukskin. I am also wondering how to order the darker dash. Which code does it fall under?
my '75 has medium saddle interior but the dash cover is brown (about like steering wheel in SD Paul's pics) and is the original one. In the AIM it lists interior color/top/etc combinations and codes and shows that some interiors have different dash colors. Guess GM didn't feel like color matching the whole interior.
I recommend you buy the AIM for your car. It is VERY helpful.
