73 Frame Repairs
I'm looking to purchase a 73 BB 4-speed in need of restoration. The car is low mileage and all complete. Unfortunatley, the rear frame corners (front of rear wheels) have rust through spots showing on the bottom gusset. Can this be patched or does the body need to come off to replace the corners. Please give me your thoughts on whether or not I should walk away now. $8K purchase price.

it depends on how bad the rust is, and you won't know exactly how bad unless the body is lifted, and since you said that it needs a restoration anyway you could always find a good used frame and do a swap or you can buy a brand new frame also.
