Heads
What is a good complete cylinder head to go with. I just rebuild my bottom end. I used my stock crank, cam, pistons etc....
I used the federal Mogal re-build kit.
I would like some powerful heads, which will work and not tear up my stock components.
Any suggestions would be great.

You'll get a lot of different opinions on this one. I'm using Dart 180 Iron Eagles with a 64cc chamber. With 2 VR flat top pistons, I'm at 9.7:1 CR.

Many possibilities here.....my favorites, Trick Flow 195s (good power for your money) and AFR 195s (excellent power but a lot more money).

Are y'all still using stock components?
That is my biggest question?

With the stock cam you are wasting your money on a set of performance heads. It will wake the motor up but put in a decent cam and it will really wake up the motor. What are the specs of the motor you rebuilt?

I see your car is a 79. Is it a L82 car? If it is they came with a decent cam but more power can be had with a better cam and good heads.

Cam + heads= power. One without the other= small gains.

I'm not looking for power, all I want is a good set of heads for a regular driver with a little pick up. I would like to keep it as stock as I can.

Get a set of L-98 heads and have them street ported. With stock compression and camshaft you don't want to go too big on the heads. Driveability will suffer.
