Do you mean the knurled bolts that are pressed into the frame? If yours rotate the frame has rusted or stripped out. Just install some larger knurled ones. Try some wheel studs, I forgot what the stock size is for the control arms (1/2"???)

Only one of mine rotated, and I still had to knock it out with a hammer. The other three are just in kinda scuzzy condition. While I'm ripping my suspension to pieces, I'm replacing every bolt I pull off with new Grade 8 hardware (with the exception of the rear spring bolts, I have an old set of VB&P's Grade 8s; and the big grade 5 that holds the front dust shield in place - it's some sort of weird size and thread).
Thanks guys, I'll go annoy my local Chebby dealer today and see what they can scare up. Failing that, I'll be a-callin' Van Steel.
The bolts are still available from GM. Part #381909. I just finished a front end rebuild and I replaced these bolts. Got them from my local Chevy dealer.
the upper bolt also holds the caliepr bracket. The shield is between it and also incorporates the sort of french locks to retain the bolt.
I forgot about that. I wish it wasn't such a b@st@rd size, I'd like to put a Grade 8 bolt in there. The French locks on my backing plates are kinda screwed up, I think I'll just Locktite the crap out of it and then get the locks back in place as best as I can.
