Black side grills
I have a 72 and the side grills are painted black, rather than the original Ontario Orange to match the rest of the car. The chrome edges are showing and as far as I can tell thay have always been black (no orange paint under the black). I noticed a 72 Pewter coupe for sale in the C3 for sale section with the same same black grills.
My question is were there any that came from the factory that way? Or somewhere down the line were they painted black? My car was repainted the original color ten years or so ago, with a base coat and clear coat system.
