Default 'vette radiator

Hi All,
Just figured I'd share this with everyone.....may help some.
My '81 factory original 4 speed...had it since '82, was running warmer than it should and nothing was out of the ordinary. Well, I looked down the filler and it looked like Carlsbad Caverns. So I figure it's time for a new radiator.
I did the usual thread checkin and dealer checkin and finally ordered one.
I got a 3 row factory replacement...I didn't want to change a thing and the old one worked good for 25 years.
Well, I ordered from www.radiator.com. and I was shocked! Not only did they offer a lot of advice over the phone (real people) , but I got the radiiator over night....only way they ship.

Here's the end result..Appearence inside and out is beautiful and extremely well made, fit was factory and no surprises. Cooling is 1000% better, back to normal!!!
Now the hidden stuff, lifetime warranty, free fedex pickup, and direct exchange if anything is wrong as long as no liquid has entered the unit.

Best part is $209 shipping and all, I think that's a deal!

Well, that's all I gotta say about that!

Gerry

I ordered mine from there too. Had to send the first one back because it was damaged and it was no problem. Otherwise I would buy from them again.

Drove it quite a bit through 103 degrees in traffic this afternoon and it stayed around 180, so I'm happy. Many, many, years ago I stuck a hypertech chip in it so I could run a 165 thermostat.
With the old radiator it was running @ 210-220 and you had to avoid traffic.

Default not so lucky

When I ordered my radiator from the same company, I was told that it would be shipped the next day. Well by the third day I called to get a status check. The person on the line said that they had no order in my name. I informed them of who I had talked to and they said we have nobody by that name. So I knew I had the name and number on my desk at work, so I called the next day. I got hold of the extension and got a voice mail that said this person would be back on Monday. Monday I called and got the person that I talked to on the previous Monday. She said that the radiator was received damaged from Calif. (now remember the other people said there was no order on the computer) and it would have to be re-ordered. I asked her to cancel the order and destroy my account information. I ordered the radiator from Complete Radiators that day and received it on Wednesday. I guess things just happen.
