Dim brake/turn light
I just bought a 78 Silver Anniversery and I have been fixing some of the broken stuff like the brake light/turn signal light on the passenger side. It is dim and I suspect I have a bad ground or socket on that side. The driver's side is just fine. I noticed a brown wire inside the wiring harness by the rear bumper was broken and also a heavier gauge black wire was broken. If the ground wire was broken in half, I wouldn't have any light at all right? Also, the brown wire on the alternator was broken off. What is the brown one for? Would that have anything to do with the dim light problem?
After I was messing with that wiring harness by the rear bumper, I noticed the light was a bit brighter. Sound like a ground wire problem back there somewhere?
