I'm very proud to have won second place at a local Corvette show. The votes were cast by other registrants. General public could not vote. There were a lot of really beautiful cars and I consider myself very honored to walk home with a trophy.
Very nice, congrats....BTW, looks like folks up your way dress similar to those here in the south when attending car shows - note the shirtless man on the left peeking at the rear of your car as someone snapped the photo
Very nice lookn' Vette...Cheers for the trophy Shows are a great way to meet some very nice people. Did you travel? or was the show local? Muddy
I had to drive about an hour to get to the show. It was held at a Chevy dealership. It was a beautiful weekend in SE Wisconsin (for a change). Warm enough to take off the t-tops, but cool enough to make the ride very comfortable.

Yeah, the timing on that snapshot was a little poor. I'll have to cut that guy out of the frame.
Funny thing about it is that the event was already over and that guy shows up. Clearly one too many Budweisers, which explains his shirtless outfit, and he starts pestering me with a ton of questions. I didn't want to be rude, but he was a pain in the neck. I hope he didn't drive home in that condition.

As I'm sitting here drinking a warm Bud I found in the back hatch of my car, I run across this thread. I'm, not shirtless, that's flesh color muscle shirt, duhhh...
Just kidding (I'm an MGD guy), congrats on the trophy (didn't you get a first last year? or was that someone else with a similar yr model)
I posted some pics over in the Events & regional forum, have a look.

Kinda weird, but I was thinking differently. The way that shirtless man was looking at the back of your car, he was probably thinking: "Man, I knew I shouldnt have traded in my '69 vette for that piece of SH__ Rustang!"
