long term engine storage question
I have a 383 stroker with nice aluminum world product heads I was going to use for a now defunct 79 z28 project. 400 horse 425 torque....gets up and goes nicely 
I am thinking about dropping it in the vette to speed it up/save the original motor.
what is the proper way to store an engine for years so it doesn't get damaged from being stagnant? I will paint it back to chevy orange, reinstall all the original pieces I have stored in boxes and keep it on display in the garage. fill it with oil and turn the crank every few months? loosen the valve springs to keep them from being under tension?

I sprayed white lithium grease from the can onto everything when I was building a high performance motor 8 years ago. I cracked her open to check specs and make some swaps a few weeks ago and there is absolutly no rust at all. Fill her with oil and turn the crank every month or so will also help. I turned the crank on this motor every few weeks for the first three years and then forgot about it as things piled up around it. It is still in great condition.
