Default What would cause this?

This is the situation. Today I was driving the vette doing about 45-50 mph, when it started to sputter then it died. It started right up but ran bad, kept hesitating. Finally got to someplace where I could lift the hood and found I had no fuel psi, I usually have about 4-5 psi. Oil psi is fine, ebverything else seems to working. I then pulled the fuel line to check for something plugging the line filter, all clear, have fuel at the line and the carb. After a little while I put it back together and started it, fuel psi is back up, so I headed for home and had no other problems. Any ideas? All advice will be greatly appriciated, and thanks in advance.
Dave

... or the pump is starting to go.
Any gas dripping from the weep hole in the fuel pump ?
Does it have an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator (another suspect)?

Tank was supposed to have been cleaned and sealed, but how do I check the "sock"?

Pump has less than 1500 miles, but that dosent matter. no regulator, just a summit fuel line with guage

with moosie however if fuel lines were'nt cleaned out could be a partially stopped fuel line from tank to fuel pump. had the same problem with another car that had sat for a while. had tank cleaned out replaced fuel pump still had the same problems. the place that did the work haden't cleaned fuel lines from tank to pump.

I had a prob with mine dieing after it warmed up, it would sputter like it was going to die. Turned out it was a fuel rod line inside the carb that became loose, CK this first, I did all the fuel lines and the fuel pump and only needed to have someone dig into the carb.
