I was loading Hammer head on the trailer a few weeks ago for a show,(I to park it on a small knowl to clear the ramps.)it popped out of gear and tagged the trailer. The one off one piece was in need of work.I wanted a change anyway's.I kicked a few ideas around for the new front of Hammer head and settled on this.
It needed a more sinnister look anyway's.
This is how it was before.
I have to drop the front deck height @5" at the front to get the right look.(The old one was raised @2" for the old front.)It is a challenge to get it rite but it's commin along.

Let's hear it for custom guys!
Love the drawing. The headlights really update the front, and look tons better than the old rectangular ones. Sorry about the damage, but I'm anxious to see the work as you go along. Take lots of photos and post often. Glenn
How do you get the entire front end to flip up (especially with the extended nose)? I like what you are doing, the illustrations are great.
Edit: I just looked at your illustrations again. The way you have the twin air dams recessed is very cool and very original. You are converting me to a custom guy.
I built the hinge/pin system farther forward.(No problems.)I will have to alter it again after dropping the deck.I built the air dams @3years ago. With the low front they were a must.(Knocked over 20deg off the temp on the highway.)They also kinda keep the shark theme.(Like teeth or lower jaw.)

Thanks for keeping us in the loop and taking photos along the way. This kind of stuff is important to all who even THINK about tackeling a job like this, even if they don't like the way you're doing it, it helps show what it take to build one. As for me, I love what you're going for. Keep them photos coming. Glenn

I would have never distroyed a restorable unit! This one was a perfect canadate for this.I like seeing something different every now and then.I love a restored vette, but I like seeing them taken to the extreme too.Every one has different likes.I have seen things that has changed my likes through the years. That's what makes this obbession so great!
