Air cleaner drop base?

Air cleaner drop base?
There are two air cleaner drop bases available, Corvette Central part #'s 152088 - L88/ LT1 & 153022 Open type. The only difference I see in the two is the postioning of the vent tube. How does this affect the fit with different carbs.
I am using a 2101 Performer intake & Q-jet, which base will work with the Q-jet & will it work with a Holley or Demon.

I have a 69 350 with the origional drop base. Car had a Q-jet, changed that to a Holley years back and now to a Road Demon. Fit all three with a minor mod on top. By the way the Road Demon runs the best....

Are you using a stock intake, if not which intake and can you fit a 3" filter element with stock hood.
