Default Carlisle Drive info needed

I'm looking to see how the roads are this year? I drive in from CT by going I287- I78- I81 into Carlisle. There always seems to be a 2-3 mile backup on I78 near Allentown, how is the drive this week?
Thanks
Gary

If you're on I-78 West after 11am you'll see 2-3 mile backup.I-80 is a better ride in the pm.

I expect to leave CT around 10 am on Thursday. Should hit PA in about 3 hours. Maybe coming in 84 to 81 is better?

I was out that way last weekend... I-78 west to 81, and the only slow area was around Dorney Park! Some traffic backup at those exits from all the park goers. But on any given Friday it could be horrible. I am leaving Friday morning at 4am to arrive at the fairgrounds around 7:30 am. What surprised me was how bad some of the roads are on the way back.

I 78 roadwork at the Hamburg/Pottsville/Reading exits. That is where the Cabella's Store is. They also repaved I 78 from Newsmithville to Hamburg.

On Sun. at 11am I drove from 287 in Jersey out 78 to exit 23 (1 exit past Cabela's) there were no back ups at all. I came back at 4pm and there was no back ups at all. Not sure what it's like during the week when they are working on the roadway?
