For those of you running the stock trim rings on your wheels, how much of the actual wheel, if any, is suppossed to be exposed between the far edge of the ring and the tire? One of my rings overhangs the wheel so that you can't see it, but on the other 3 there is about 1/4" of wheel showing. Wondering what the deal is with this.
Not usre what you mean by the "far edge" but I do know that any wheel weights that are needed to balance the tires should be on the inside of the wheel instead of the outside. The wheel weights would interfere with mounitng the trim rings.
Also there is a difference in the trim rings themselves. Monte Carlos had 15-inch ralley wheels available with trim rings and they will fit on the Corvette wheels. However, the width of the Monte Carlo rings (or the wheel) are different than the Corvette wheels or rings. I'm not sure if the wheels or the rings were different.
A while back, I bought a set of what I thought were Covette ralley wheels and trim rings only later to discover that 2 of the set were from a Monte Carlo.
