I just bought a edelbrock carb to put in my '81 and the thottle linkage is being a bitch- does anybody know what linkage i need and where to get it, because no one at Edelbrock or Summit's racing has a freakin clue!! Thanks in advance.
The stock linkage can be made to work, but you would have to fabricate or drill a new hole in the attachment arm to find the correct "throw" distance for full throttle. The best bet and easier thing to do is to get a Lokar bracket and cable;it is fully adjustable. Several forum have done this because no aftermarket carb (Holley, Demon, etc.) fits the same lever arc as stock on a Vette.
One solution to the problem........
What model Edelbrock and what is the diameter of the facrory holes?
Also is the 81' a cable setup like Stroker has posted or is it a solid rod type (sorry but Im not familiar with the late C3's)
Also, pics of both carb and linkage would be very helpful
