What's the Difference?????
between Dampers,harmonic Dampers and harmonic Balancers? I have my motor out and am going to replace the damper, but all I know is that mine measures 6 3/4 inches across. iIts from my 1981. Thanks.

Nothing. Just different names for the same thing depending on who's doing the talking, though a balancer technically has an imbalance weight in the hub part, such as those used on factory 400 and 454 Chevys. But unless that's what's being specifically talked about, the terms otherwise mean the same thing.
