I think they stoped selling them sometime last year.
I think I read where they are resuming the build but its no longer the 1900 series
They changed the model number and the back log is insane
Thats why the 1900 models are selling so high on ebay (I have no idea why someone would choose an Edelbrock over the real thing)

I would see if you can find a local rebuilder that knows his stuff if your not up to doing it yourself as Im pretty sure Lars isnt taking any carbs for rebuild at this time.
i assume people want the edelbrock qjet (like the 1900's) because they're new carbs (and the edelbrock name). i had mine rebuilt a few years back by a "carburetor shop" specializing in such things and it performed no better after than before. everyone on the forum here seems to badmouth buying rebuilt qjets. if somebody doesn't keep making them (like edelbrock) pretty soon a lot of old GM owners are goint to be in a world of hurt.

Not in my lifetime
They were in service for 25 years
They are plenty left and can be found for as cheap as $5 or less... like free
Theres millions of them floating around.
You had yours rebuilt and it ran no better
You can rebuild it 10 times a day...it needs to be tuned.
Thats the tricky and sometimes time consuming part
Bob O. is right on here twice. QJets are tricky. Check w Corvette owners in your local area to learn of good experiences w local rebuilder/shop.
I purchased a rebuilt QJet from Holley through Summit for my 72 LS5 for $200 a year ago. What a disaster! The damn thing leaked gas and we never could get it to work right. Your Corvette experience will be ugly (like mine was!) until you resolve this. I went through 3 #@%$ QJets and finally went to a 650 Holley Double Pumper.
I am not saying you should do the same. QJets work great for many Forum members when tuned correctly. Just find yourself a local, accountable QJet expert.
The problem with rebuilt Q-Jets, Edelbrock or otherwise, is that they use a generic "performance" jetting. The Q-Jet is a precision instrument that is very sensitive to tuning. GM used literally hundreds of different jet/rod combos when tuning the carb.
I suggest getting a copy of the Doug Roe book Rochester Carburetors, Lar's papers from www.corvettefaq.com and rebuild it yourself. You will be much happier.
