Default new exhaust installed...

Well after blowing my passenger "ram horn" out last Sunday, I ordered a set of the Summit long tube headers. Man, what a difference!!! I really didn't think that headers would make such a difference. Any way, I took it to the exhaust shop to have it all hooked together and this is what I came out with. Not as nice as the Hookers of coarse but I'm happy. Gotten lots of local looks and compliments so far and got away for less than a third of the price. I think it has an "old school" look to it. Let me know what you think...

Glen...

That is not a bad look at all. Better than just running them under the car (like I do).

And you probably have a much less likely chance of catching a nice ankle burn.

Looks good to me!!

Thanks. It is a little different. But like I said, I like it. The video clip doesn't do the sound much justice but it is nice...

Hey Glen

Sounds good!!! I might put some kind of heat shielding on them though cause with my luck I would burn the you know what out of myself.. They look good too just look different rather than the norm but it is always good to be unique

Thanks everyone. They come out farther back because I wanted the leaste restrictions with the standard long tube headers. Before I had the original cast iron manifolds with the 2.5" pipes from mid america and the monza tips for mufflers. It was nice but this is better. I will try to get pics this afternoon when I get home from work.

BTW, any opinions on keeping it the silver color or should I paint it flat black? Still haven't decided. Also, anyone know of any type of short universal heat shield that I can adapt to my aplication?

Nice looking exhaust. I love the look of the black side pipes. There are a few pics if you do search.

Good luck,
Dino

i'd like to see pics from underneath the car....i'm thinking about doing something sweet with headers like used on the standard back exhausts but bending the tubes after the crossmember pass in order to place the exhausts at the sides (one big 3' round outlet per side), same as used to have the lightweight race jaguar E, do you know what i mean?

I am pretty sure that I know exactly what you are talking about. If I am thinking of the right thing, that would look really sweet on your car. Here are a couple of pics under the car. I am sorry but I didn't have time to get it up on the wheel ramps tonight. Maybe this will give you an idea though. Thanks again for the compliments all...

Cheers,
Glen.....
