I was at Carlisle this weekend and stopped by Gary Ramadei's spot. Most of you know him as gtr1999. He freely shared his knowledge and how-to's (as he always does here) on how he rebuilds steering boxes and rears for our cars. I really appreciated the time he spent with me even though I am not close to the point in my restoration where I need the rear and steering box rebuilt on my car. Just wanted everyone on the Forum to know that he's a real stand-up guy and is willing to help anyone with these rebuilds whether you are looking to do it yourself or are shipping it to the master himself.
A hearty long-distance thanks from here as well. Gary's extremely detailed thread with pictures was what gave me the confidence to rebuild my rear bearings. His walking through step-by-step is invaluable.
Thanks guys. Keith nice meeting you at Carlisle. It was a good time this past weekend and I was glad to meet all the forum guys who stopped by.
Tim how's that full resto going?
I do enjoy passing along the info to you guys because you're out there wrench in hand trying to get your cars done. I know what it is like to get stuck on something and not have any help.
260 sorry off hand I don't. Like George said, post it in cars for sale and see what you can get.
