Does anyone here use car cocoons? If so what kind? Recommendations? TIA
You talking about the big *** bubbles? I was curious about those as well. I always gets lots of dust in the garage after it has been sitting for a while, but I think in my case I need to install a HEPA filter in the garage.
Car Capsules? They're great. Got 3 of them for winter storage. 18footers. They have a little 12volt fan that runs continuously, in my case for about 5 months! Keeps a constant air flow through the bubble to prevent any moisture. Specially nice in the spring when it gets really damp out, inside stays dry while the outside sometimes fogs up. Kinda a pain when you want to just mess with the cars, but really only takes a minute or so to open it up.

Note the 2X4s underneath, additional moisture control by creating an air gap.
I used to keep my 69 Camaro in one at the beach for the winter. It was in a garage but plenty of salt air. It worked great. Mine was not the blow up kind just like a huge Hefty bag that got sealed up. I put in a few descecant bags and it would come out spotless, not even any rust on the rotors. I keep mine in my garage at home now but would not hesitate to use one of these again.
Crumpled newspaper tossed in absorbs moisture that does get in and then releases it slowly so it doesnt condense on things like brake rotors, inside gauges and etc.Its an old RV storage trick I learned from Cusson's RV Repair in Ft.Myers Fl.and it works and its cheap(like me).
I got mine several years ago from Garage Toys.com. Free shipping at the time .Just looked over their site again, boy did they go up in price! Mid America used to show them in their catalog. Google "car capsule" and compare prices.

I have used a 'CarJacket' for a couple years to store my car in a barn (no power, dirt floor). It needed dessicant bags and worked OK for 5 years. BUT, after last winter, I found out mice had chewed their way into the bag..... whatta smelly mess!!
I'll probably try the cocoon bag this year. I'll have to keep a battery attached to it for power.

They make some fairly reasonable solar panels for RVs that might extend the battery charge.
