Default New and needing help

I recently gained possetion of a 79 350/350 car and am wondering if anyone knew the correct carb size, hp numbers in stock form and the rear gears offered for that year. I am stuck in Iraq right now (7 months down, 5 to go) but I am trying to get parts to get it running right when I get back to the states. Also, does anyone know the best company to go through for wiring harnesses? I need to rewire the whole thing and peicing it together is not really what I had in mind. Any help is greatly appreciated!

For wiring harness, I would suggest Lectric Limited. You can buy from them direct or you may be able to get a better price from The Last Detail.
They both have web sites.
Stay safe over there and thanks for your service to our country and so others can have the same freedoms we enjoy.

Don't know what you bought, but there was no such thing as "350/350" offered anytime near 1979. Specs and options you're looking for can be found here http://100megsfree4.com/corvette/1970/vet79.htm

Oh yeah, don't listen to any of these guys around here, 1979 is THE BEST year to buy!!

Stay safe

A stock '79 L-82 would only get you 225 net hp. Are you saying a previous owner built the car to 350hp?

Stock carb was the Rochester QuadraJet. Advertized horse power was 195 or 225 net depending upon the original engine. Ratio could vary depending upon transmission and whether an optional ratio was ordered.
