Did anyone notice the asking price on LT1 and L88 hoods at Carlisle? The LT1were about $700 and the L88's were up to $2k
I have a near mint L88 hood with box sitting in my basement now for years. I think for $2k it may find a new home!

Gary, I know But the problem is, these vendors are damn barracudas out trying to gouge the public. And I guess there are idiots that will give them the price. I also, have two LT-1/ BB hoods sittin in my garage. One of our local St. Louis Corvette vendors big in dealing used parts has been after me for years to sell him one (or both). Problem is, he only wants to give me ~$250. I even tried to negotiate trades for parts I needed. (At his inflated price standard of course ) No deal Anyone want to trade a hood for an original, freshly rebuilt, 70 LT-1 Holley carb (List 4555)
Yeh, yeh, I know....they have to make a buck too......so if they can get the price, more power to them.

I wish I could have gotten to Carlisle this year, I haven't missed in a long time. I am in search of an LT1 / Big Block Original hood in War Bonnet Yellow. Is one of the hoods in your garage a match? If so I'm interested. Rick Oram5@mindspring.com
I was looking to put the LT1/BB hood on this car but they were going $700 to one I saw for $950.
I'll wait and I let the L88 hood appreciate! or use it on my 69 when I get back to the body off on that.
