just came back from a night ride...i was returning home on the motorway and there was a little humidity on the whole tarmac surface...there was a guy with a tuned car (maybe a ricer) tried to pass over, actually i was going calmly and nicely, but for some reason i decided he didnt have to pass but on a wide bend going left at about 100 mph (which now is nearly my top speed with the 4.11 rear end...) i felt the rear wheels going somewhere else..
as i was at high rev didnt want to release the throttle otherwise i was lost so slowly reduce speed until i felt wheels going under control again!!!
i think i saved my a$$$ for very little, it was my lucky night!!
So does that mean that the ricer won? What transmission are you running with your 4:11 gears? I have 4:11 as well and a TCI TH350 and was pretty sure I was well over 100 not too long back. It was before I had my speedometer working so I do not know the exact speed, but I was sure I was well over 100. My tach was also out at the time so not sure of the exact RMP either, but according to my experience with it now with a tach it was near red line.
Hearing abour your nite run, I am inspired to take the vette out. Have actually NEVER driven it at night except the first night I bought it and had to drive it home.
