Well, I took the plunge and traded my C5 vert for a '72 BB coupe!

Big thanks to jimkmyc5 for all his help in going over to St. Louis Car Museum and providing me with the information I needed to make this decision.

jimkmyc5 told me there were a few small fluid leaks and when I mentioned this to the salesman he said they would have them fixed before shipping the car to me.

I'm very anxious to get my hands on it!

Too bad my nick has 00 instead of 72.

I'm traveling right now. Soon as I get home I'll resize and post some. Meanwhile, it's still on their web site.

Ok, I've uploaded the pics to my own spot on photobucket. Same pics for now.

Looking forward to pics when you get the car.

Contact a moderator and politely ask if they can change your screen name because you bought a new car. I used to be C5 RV before my shark therapy.

Welcome to the fold! Going from a C5 to a C3 is like going to a different culture. Very little in common except for the love of a great car!

Owning a C3 takes a different mindset than owning a later body style. I would never knock the newer corvettes. They are great! I think owning a C3 will prove to be a much greater emotional experience.

Oh, and off the record, C3 guys spend just as much or more than the C5 guys.......just on different things........

I have to agree with you after owning a C2 and 2 C5s. I have very fond memories of the C2 even though I knew everything that was wrong with it but the C5 is more like a nice new car not an old friend. I think the '72 will be the same way. An old friend.
