Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove Wisconson had a nostolga weekend, featuring some of the Midwest ledgends of 60's & 70's. Gassers, streetrods, & a few funny cars, top fuel, rocket cars & a wheelstander. What a blast it was to see Arnie The Farmer Beswick at age 65 still ripping down the 1/4 mile. A legandary funny car "Chi-Town Hustler" was a great performer too. The "Chevy Rebellion" (a VW wheelstander) driven by it's 76 yr old owner posted a 170MPH run on it's 2 back wheels!!!! Sure would have liked to see Don "The Snake" Prudholm & Don Garlets.
Man...I had a blast!!! Most of the night time action pics didn't turn out...but here's a few for you to enjoy.
