It has more than just two connections. They can all be connected under the dash by the column, since all you're doing is creating another keyswitch per se.
On mine, there was a connection for the main ignition, another ignition connection, two for the battery, one for the start circuit, and one for the accessories. There are also connections for the neutral start switch and brake switch. Some use the parking brake circuit, too. If it's incorporated with an alarm, you also will have your starter cut relay tied in there.
i think he is talking about a remote starter button, to turn the motor over possibly to find the timing mark. you can conect both wires at the starter. one to 12 volts (the big wire) and the other to the wire that gets 12 volts in the start position, I am not sure what color it is. be careful and make sure it is in neutral/park
